Move the left foot back parallel with the right foot, toes facing south-west. At the same time turn the torso to face south, raise the left tip so that the wand is horizontal then raise both ends so that the wand lays across the upper left side of the chest. Weight is 50% on both feet, eyes looking south at eye level. [Figure 82].
[Figure 82]
The right hand keeps the right tip in approximately the same position as the left hand slides up to the 'town’ position as the left tip simultaneously lowers close to the ground. It continues forwards as the waist begins to turn to the right, the right hand staying approximately the same height, mid chest. Both hands finish at the front of the body, left hand holding the wand at the 'town’ position approximately the level of the navel; both hands are about 15 inches from the body. Step to the west with the right foot, shoulder width. [Figure 83].
[Figure 83]
Move the right foot back under the body, toes facing south-west as the torso turns to the right--north. Simultaneously, the right hand draws the wand back across the chest, horizontally, the left hand loosening and allowing the wand to pass through it, and slides back to the left tip. Finish with the shaft of the wand close or touching the upper chest, both elbows bent, eyes looking north at eye level. [Figure 84].
[Figure 84]
The left hand, keeping the left tip approximately in the same position, lets the right hand slide up to the 'town’ position as the right tip also lowers itself near to the ground and continues forwards as the waist begins to turn to the left--west. The left hand stays approximately the same height--mid chest. Both hands finish at the front of the body, right hand holding at 'town’ position approximately in front of the navel. Both hands are about 15 inches from the body. Step to the west with the left foot, shoulder width. [Figure 85].
[Figure 85]
Move the left foot back under the body, toes facing south-west, as the torso turns to the left--south. Simultaneously, the left hand draws the wand back across the chest, horizontally, through the right hand which loosens and slides back to the right tip. Finish with the shaft of the wand close or touching the upper chest, both elbows bent, eyes looking south at eye level. [Figure 86].
