6.1 INHALE: PREPARE TO PADDLE FORWARD LEFT SIDE

Footwork

Transfer weight to the left foot and move your right foot back under your body so both feet are parallel, toes facing west.

Torso / Head

Pull the wand back with the right hand, which is holding the right tip. As you do so, the wand naturally slides through the left hand, as the grip loosens. You end up with the wand horizontal the shaft against the right side of the body, both arms straight, both hands holding the 'home’ ends. Then lift the right tip up from the rear to vertical, the right arm straight, the left hand has come in towards the groin [Figure 48].

The right hand lowers the right tip so that the wand comes to rest horizontally, the shaft resting against left side of the body, left hand at the read, right in the front, both both arms straight. [Figure 49].
