Sit back on the right foot and lift the left toes as you turn them to the right to face east.
Simultaneously turn the torso to the right to face east.
At the same time, lift the left arm straight up so that the wand is almost vertical, the shaft of the wand close to front left the body. The right hand, holding the right tip, moves back into the centre of the body and finishes up near the groin. [Figure 116].
[Figure 116]
Transfer your weight to the left foot and lift the right heel, swivelling on the ball to turn the toes south-west; lift the right foot and place it carefully in a wide stance about 2 foot to the south-west. Bend both knees slightly.
Keep the back straight.
Lower the right tip towards the south-west by pushing gently with the left hand and letting the wans slide through the right hand grip until it reaches 'town’ position. Just before the right tip reaches the floor raise it in a scooping movement. [Figures 117 & 118].
